Bio-Hackathon: HUMAN SENSING

  • Biohackathon Sparks Budapest

Sparks cloturing event in Budapest!

ESSRG, the Smart Healthcare Meetup and Makerspace.com will host HUMAN SENSING Bio-Hackathon on November 10 and 11, 2017.
We are looking forward to young creative developers, artists, designers, designers, medical professionals, IT and business professionals, university students or researchers who are sensitive to the environmental health problems of urban life and are ready to work in the team and make it great and useful in 14 hours.
To apply for Bio-Hackathon, you can fill out the registration form on this page by October 26 at the latest. A total of 18 people can participate in teamwork. The organizers and the mentors will select the members of the teams from the candidates.

The purpose of the event
We know little about airborne pollution, noise and UV exposure to individuals and the individual exposure to each pollutant. Bio-Hackathon aims at targeting teams of 3 * 6 people with a portable 'smart' tool that, with the aid of sensors, can monitor the environmental pollution and noise loads of individuals in time and space and develop a community project idea that uses this' smart 'tool helps to solve an environmental health problem that is relevant to local society.
The organizers plan to co-operate with the Bio-Hackathon participants in developing and implementing "human sensing" concepts for the benefit of urban communities.

What's on the hackathon?
HUMAN SENSING Bio-Hackathon is involved with mentors and finds out their project idea during a guided-completion process. The specialty of the event is that each team gets the same sensors and raw materials, and their creative ideas depend on the solution they use for them.
The event is organized at the workshop of Makerspace.hu, which provides an inspiring site for designing. The tools and technical assistance needed to create prototypes (own illustrative materials) are also available. The participants will be provided on the first day of Bio-Hackathon.
The second day of Hackathon (November 11, 9: 00-12: 00) will be a public event. Teams will then present their ideas and will evaluate them together with the mentors. We would like to invite interested users to the event. Registration for the Smart Healthcare Meetup site will be available soon.
